The article doesn't mention if the rapes (are we allowed to describe them as such? This story has me baffled) were reported to the police. I hope they were, and appropriate action was taken, because a possible alternative explanation is that the aggrieved parties took their complaints to some sort of committee and the dispute was resolved 'internally', with this bizarre public statement and resignation from various 'spaces' and 'platforms' considered just punishment for sexual abuse.
